What Is Noise, an award-winning contemporary chamber ensemble, invites artists to submit designs for the cover of our second album, Temporal Echoes. The winning design will be featured as the official album cover and the selected artist will receive:

  • $500 prize

  • Promotional Credit

  • A physical copy of the album

  • Release date: April, 2026

  • Record label: Parma Recording

Album Theme:

Temporal Echoes explores the relationship between space and time, engaging with ideas of memory, places, people, and nostalgia as our ensemble celebrates over 10 years of making music together.

Artists may email us to request the album track list with limited access if they would like to listen to the music and use it as inspiration for their submission.

 Submission Guidelines:

The competition welcomes a variety of genres, including painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, and digital media. Artists are welcome to submit existing works that fit these categories. Please note that AI-generated art will Not be accepted.

  • Deadline: November 23, 2025

  • Entry fee: $20 (Pay via Paypal: www.whatisnoise.net/donate )

  • What to Submit:

    • High-resolution photograph of the artwork that will be modified (adding of ensemble name, album title, record label information, etc.) and used as the album cover.

      • Square format (3000 x 3000 px, 300 dpi)

      • JPG or PNG file format

    • Optional: Include a short description (100–150 words) explaining your design concept.
